Extremist Websites
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Rather than censoring and taking down extremist websites, Western governments are monitoring the sites and using them as a source of information for intelligence agencies. As a result, terrorists are avoiding the Internet and using coding to protect their activities.

I'm no terrorist, but why would you want to share information on a public and widely accessible platform such as the Internet for underground operations? Kind of ironic. If I were to, it would be a ruse to throw governments off.

Also, it's been suggested that the producers of these websites should be prosecuted rather than taking down the websites. What do you think?
